Each university is matched to its OpenAlex institution record; publications of its sub-units (hospitals, institutes) count too. For fair rankings we use journal articles of the last five complete years, and multi-centre papers with 50 or more authors are left out of academics’ counts. Q1–Q4 is the best SCImago quartile of the journal the article appeared in.
